Did you ever work with someone of whom you thought that if they just didn't come in one day things would go a lot more smoothly?

Not, as it turns out, the case, as there are two preconditions to the absence:

1) Letting the boss know that yesterday's work is done
2) Making sure today's work is covered

Unfortunately, additional steps (specifically

3 Actually doing yesterday's work
4 Telling somebody who is covering today's work
4a Telling somebody where today's work is)

were omitted somehow in the rush.
