This week's Claude Rains Memorial Gambling Awareness Award goes to Fred Barnes, of the Weekly Standard.

Fred wins the Claude for his surgical use of Occam's Razor to establish that the reason the Republicans lost the statehouse in Louisiana was, too obviously to consider other reasons seriously, that Louisiana's white Republican voters are racists.

He's still shocked, though.
