shorter MoDo: Hillary is fat and I hate her hair and she's always pretending to be a girl except when she's pretending to be a boy and nobody likes her and nobody in my office knows how to e-mail a URL and her husband totally cheated on her and people treat her like shit because she's a woman but it's not because she's a woman it's because totally nobody likes her and that's NOT WHY SHE CRIED because that was totally pretending that it bothers her that, you know, some people like me have been beating the crap out of her for the past couple of decades and one of my coworkers who is a guy said she totally blew it and that women are manipulative and whiny and it was A BIG FAKE and SHE SUCKS.
Also? The line from the Tracy and Hepburn movie? If she didn't actually pull that from a keyword search on IMDB - you know, if she saw the movie? - MoDo just illustrated her point about the perfidy of female tears by quoting a scene in which Hepburn's character is crying because Tracy's character has just hit her and he's pissed off that his own lack of self-control and bad behavior put him at a disadvantage in the argument they're having. The character in the movie who pretends to cry to get what they want is Tracy's.
Just, you know, FYI.
in other pundit news: Andrew Sullivan had a bad scary moment when he thought maybe racism existed (which is pretty strong stuff when you figure he managed to mainstream the whole science says black people are teh stoopit thing without ever finding any) but he thought maybe the Democrats might have made it rise from its unholy moldering grave just to totally pretend to vote for Obama and then not. Luckily it turns out that he just didn't understand the polls.
Runners up: Megan McArdle's (you know, I just can't get used to that. She really is more a Jane Galt) Hillary's crying is different from boy crying because having a penis teaches you to be president and Bill Kristol's I know roughly what solipsism means, but I'm guessing nobody who watches Fox does.
