When last we visited Mr. Heflin, his party was complaining that the Democrats weren't showing enough respect for the integrity and accuracy of the vote
A review of absentee and provision ballots wasn’t completed in the District 149 race until late Monday night.

The final count gave Ho the edge with 20,693 votes to Heflin’s 20,662.

Heflin could request a recount, but consultant Craig Murphy said Tuesday the campaign will first do some fact-finding.

Murphy said Heflin has several options, including a recount, a challenge, or both.

Murphy would not offer specifics of possible problems in the count, but an attorney for Heflin's campaign says the results were flawed and he expects a review will show the Republican lawmaker won re-election.

Of course they're freaking flawed, you moron, my guy lost after we redistricted the entire damn state to disenfranchise his opponent's voters. That's the only specifics you need, Mr. Murphy did not say but everyone in his party nodded sagely anyway. Occam's razor and all that. Which doesn't apply in Florida or Ohio, by the way.
