Right at this moment I can't bear to watch.

if you feel the same way, or if you want some history (sections on Jeb and Bob Ehrlich in Maryland) or you just haven't heard enough cute stories about my kid or my cat or my (ow) foot or you want a peek at 9/11 from one New York perspective or to check out the blogroll, I put together a rough history list here

I'm still updating it, but there's plenty there.

edit: it's from this

.. Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song
A medley of extemporanea
And love is a thing that can never go wrong
And I am Marie of Roumania.

Off with your heads. By the way.

edit again: oh, for crying out loud.

yes, you have to vote first. no archives until you vote.

Getting out the vote

(((I sent out the following to everyone in the office this morning:)))

From: Stefan Jones
Subject: Election Day Cookies

In the South Cafe:

For those who voted: A basket of fancy soft cookies.

For those who didn't: A paper plate of ginger snaps. (Next time, you'll know better.)

(((This cost me $11.20, but it's worth the point.)))

(((The punative tone is due to Oregon's all-mail-in-ballot system. Everyone should have voted by now. Althought I think it's possible to hand-deliver ballot envelopes to drop-off points.)))

I have always found cookies to be an invaluable resource in the management process.

Huh. The president of the company came by my cube to ask for the location of the nearest ballot drop-box.

OTOH, I'm getting heat from the non-citizens in the office.

I should have thought to leave out a plate of dog biscuits for people who registered their border collies.

And roses, for people who registered dead relatives.
