Commenters at Urban Elephant discussing the Spencer/McFarland debate come up with a number of creative ways of euphemizing Mr. Spencer's zipper issues. Also, the Spencer and McFarland factions online have a whole Jets v Sharks thing going on (Mr. Fois, aka "Wordsmithie," is one of Spencer's campaign staffers).
Not quite getting it at the White House
He's coming back from vacation so he can engage in partisan political activities and hang out with the 'rents in Maine? Campaigning for Republican candidates and attending a family wedding are not what we pay the man to do.
Or maybe not.
Could be. My working definition would be "that which you have spent well over a year of your presidency not doing"
Although those fundraisers actually do appear to be pretty hard work these days.

White House press secretary Tony Snow says Bush is taking a shorter break not because of criticism but because he has other things to do, including campaigning for Republican candidates in the fall elections, pushing for immigration reform and attending a family wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine.
