former Yonkers mayor John Spencer, who has to get past Republican opponent KT McFarland to get to Hillary, has apparently decided to run as if he already has

His new ad, which deals with the recent british plane bombing plot, takes a bold stand against, er, facism

except, of course, that she did support the Patriot Act, more than once, and there's no evidence that the NSA warrantless surveillance program had anything to do with catching the London bombers.

We do know that the successful investigation of the terrorist plot was carried out in the United States with the help of a significant surge in warrants for searches and surveillance from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The same court the NSA program was designed to get around, because it was such an obstacle to intelligence gathering.

Sadly for Mr. Spencer, Mrs. Clinton's rapid response team on this one included the Republican Chair of the Homeland Security Committee, Peter King

It's weird. The lefties I know wouldn't vote for Sen. Clinton, while the righties I read are convinced that she will run and establish a radical feminist Caliphate in America or something like that.

However, it may be that she could be the best way to discredit the Republicans, if the Democrats had any smarts.

Step 1: Let the righties go off on a screaming fit on HILLARY OMG!1111
Step 2: Loudly and firmly tell how they are wrong.
Step 3: Later, rinse, repeat.

The first two or five times, OK, it may not take. But keep it up and suddenly people will wonder what is up with the commentators on Sunday morning pundit shows.

Were there actually London bombers?

I know officials went on the news with the most recent plot-like thing surveillance subjects were idly discussing and the cops who shot that foreign guy not long ago arrested people with a different skin color and accent than Tony Blair, but are we sure there was even a bomb plot?

I mean, it's impossible to prove that a planned bombing didn't happen. No planes were hijacked last weekend, but no planes have been hijacked in or en route to this country for close to five years.
