It seems like the right-fringe attack on the two kidnapped Fox journalists has gone what passes for mainstream in the wingnutsphere.

This quote from Rush Limbaugh in particular, I thought, deserves to be called out.
"Come on! Get the microphones and cameras out of here! I just got out. I want to see my family!" Do you think they would accede to our requests, or anybody else’s? Ask John Mark Karr.

So there's, like, a double standard, where journalists in a war zone who were kidnapped and held at gunpoint are being treated differently than a child molester who is the primary suspect in the rape and murder of a seven year old.

Apparently this is the sort of thing Mr. Limbaugh is talking about when he refers to "liberal media bias"

I guess we should be glad that he didn't bring up the double standard of lefty bloggers mentioning nary a word about the kidnap victims while they were still being held, and only talking about them now because right-wingers are acting nasty toward "two of their own."

You know, if someone had brought that up, I'd think they had a point, but I'm almost reflexively not willing to post on anything that's the wingnut subject of the moment, and before they were agin these two they sure did see a lot of symbolic value in supporting them.

Poor bastards just wanted to live. Doesn't seem as if anyone on either side had that as a rhetorical priority.
