I sent a note to her teacher to get the other child moved to another table, so they won't spend so much time together. The teacher told me on the phone yesterday that she's been wanting to do that for weeks, but the girls said no (HM says because she was afraid). I think she didn't force the issue because no one else wanted to sit with the bully.
I'm still astonished that parents can do this kind of stuff, and that teachers really want them to.
Anyway, she was really happy to go to school this morning, which I haven't seen for weeks. I don't quite believe that it's as simple as this, but until further notice I'll let the teacher take care of it. She knows a lot more about six year olds than I do.
As soon as I have some time, I'm going to have a major panic attack about all of this.
Speaking of which, I just arranged to take the week of Memorial Day off to bump a few things off my last nerve, see the dentist and maybe spend a couple of days in the gym giving my brain a rest. I can't begin to tell you how badly I needed that.
