I so infrequently get the opportunity to actually Provide Content, so let me share with you that I was at this game, in an (ahem) private box and the members' dining room at a table overlooking the field (it's a long story) and I didn't notice any of this going on, so that part was wasted on me, I guess, but I can share with you that in one of the most truly bizarre moments I've been part of in a while, the national anthem was recited by Rod McKuen.

His name was on the big screen, too. Rod McKuen.

Wonder what the message was.

For some reason, I thought you meant that Marshall McLuhan recited the national anthem. That would have been really cool. (Depending on the medium, obviously.)
