a slight clerical error
May. 1st, 2004 12:48 pmwhich atrios' buddy Nedra Pickler at the AP clears up for us.
Depending on who was officially responsible for having produced the banner this week, what they meant to say was

Like you assholes never made a typo.
Other minor organizational glitches:

When he said "no more rape rooms," our Commander in Chief did not mean to suggest that iraqis imprisoned without due process were not being sexually abused by jailers with a taste for "indecent acts, for ordering detainees to publicly masturbate; maltreatment, for non-physical abuse, piling inmates into nude pyramids and taking pictures of them nude; battery, for shoving and stepping on detainees; dereliction of duty; and conspiracy to maltreat detainees"

De-ba'athification? Psych! We held them off for a while so you could get all that looting and stealing and killing and school closing done and work those freedom urges out, but now the folks you knew and loved under Saddam are back in charge. Except for everything and everyone you've lost in the past year, it's almost as if nothing had changed for you, you lucky iraqis. As Kris Kristofferson so aptly put it, freedom is just another word for this.

The "mass graves" in which iraqi civilians are no longer being buried were specifically mass graves not in soccer stadiums or private back yards, which are entirely different.

Some would argue that the combat operations of the past year in which 80+ percent of the dead american soldiers were killed could technically be referred to as "major," but they clearly do not support the troops.
Originally, Mr. Bush intended to wear his socks on his feet
Let's not quibble, shall we?

I just keep reminding myself that with the most sophisticated PR apparatus in world history and the press behind him and gamed voting machines and more money than any presidential candidate has ever spent, the american people still declined to elect this man President of the United States.
Try to hold on to that.
