It isn't even a crisis, just an eight year old in need of some quantity time.
However, this is good:
It's going to be interesting to see if the floor approval number for Bush is higher, lower, or (my suspicion) just exactly the same as the floor Clinton disapproval numbers.
However, this is good:
The war in Iraq continues to tarnish the approval ratings of President Bush. Evaluations of the way Mr. Bush is handling the war in Iraq, how he is handling foreign policy, and how he is handling his job overall are now at their lowest levels ever in his presidency.
Mr. Bush's overall job approval rating has continued to decline. Forty-one percent approve of the job he is doing as president, while 52 percent disapprove Ñ the lowest overall job rating of his presidency. Two weeks ago, 44 percent approved. A year ago, two-thirds did.
It's going to be interesting to see if the floor approval number for Bush is higher, lower, or (my suspicion) just exactly the same as the floor Clinton disapproval numbers.

Date: 2004-05-24 09:54 pm (UTC)and then August will be deadly for Bush since Iraq will be a total powder keg, seeing the policy being set up from tonite speech.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is entering the election eve with upper 20%.
Even if he produce Osama and hoping for a bump, he will only go to 40% because of all that Iraq quackmire
......uh, that's my political amateur political punditry of course.
