I wouldn't count on it

Hey, Indiana? Speaking from New York, lemme tell you not to get your hopes up about getting money out of the feds. Somebody flew planes into us and the President promised us money on TV, and then some paper-pusher at the OMB called us "money-grubbers" and tried to get away with not giving it to us. Hell, we never did get all of it.
Good luck getting past that jerk.
Oh, wait. It was Mitch Daniels.
Never mind.
Indiana is losing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grant money that is going to other states. Republican candidate for governor Mitch Daniels promised Monday to change that circumstance if he's elected.
Daniels says he will create a new office of federal grants and procurement in the governor's office. It's something being done in 24 other states.
When it comes to landing federal grant money, Indiana ranks 45th on a per capita basis according to a 2002 study. Kentucky ranks 35th and Mitch Daniels chose to attack the Indiana record while standing in front of the Louisville skyline.
“Kentucky is doing better and more power to them. You know, there are many respects in which our Kentucky neighbors are doing things we can learn from and this is one of those,” said Daniels.
Daniels says an office of federal grants could bring in hundreds of millions of dollars a year to state government.
