Well, I'm not a mega-store fan anyway, and Home Despot is not the best stocked of the mega-stores out there, but I can understand if it's the only game in town why people would shop there.

Date: 2004-09-11 10:41 am (UTC)I prefer not to shop there, but then I also don't shop at the stores owned by the company that owns the Gap, the Limited and Old Navy (chinese prison labor and sweatshops), Michaels (a two-fer - funded attack ads against McCain in SC in 2000 and funding the Swift Boat Vets now) and Nestlé (sending "nurses" into maternity hospitals in third world countries to encourage women who a) can't afford it and b) don't have reliable access to clean water to use formula to feed their babies).
That said, it's easier for me to avoid those places and products because I'm in New York, and I have lots of other options.
