I was at the Tank, and I thought Markos was charming (although I saw far too many of the asses of politicals who inserted themselves between us). I also bought Jesse what appeared to be (but he was too polite to tell me so) a funky chai. The mighty and the lovely Mrs. Atrios fed me pizza when I and my two protein bars proved to be no match for bottled beer.

Left blogs are a growth industry. Who knew?

This piece could be subtitled:

"Picked up Josh Marshall, but struck out with Wonkette."

Lawdy. If things go right, I mean correctly, I plan to retire as much as possible after Jan 20.

I guess it's like cops and firefighters and soldiers - you gotta appreciate that there are people who seem to like doing jobs you wouldn't personally be willing to do. I think I feel like that about people who do politics for a living.

I saw a lot of famous asses, though.

The Tank is the new Algonquin Round Table?

I had no idea there was such a scene going on, sounds like incredible fun!

I like Kos' site but I don't think his charm came through in that article at all . . . Marshall sounds like a helluva character, but, I'll never read his stuff the same way again.

I don't think it did either, but a bunch of us closed the Tank one night and I really enjoyed him.
