Remember how every time someone got in trouble before 2000 it was the debilitating influence of Mr. Clinton's example that was responsible?
Just saying.
Just saying.
Taiwan's foreign minister has declined to apologise to Singapore for calling the city state "the size of a piece of snot", but says he is sorry if his choice of words offended some people at home.
Defending his remarks, Mark Chen said they were not an official protest against Singapore's anti-independence comments at the United Nations, but a way of venting his frustration to local people, using words they could understand.
"I know how to use diplomatic language, but the occasion was not a formal gathering. It was not intended as a formal protest (against Singapore)," Chen told a news conference on Wednesday.
"I was speaking to our people so I used the language they could easily understand," the minister said. "I have not criticised the Singapore government so far and I do not need to speak any further."
